Terms of Service — MonetrixOS

These terms apply when you use the MonetrixOS website (https://monetrixos.com) and when you buy or use MonetrixOS for Google Sheets (the "add-on"). "MonetrixOS", "we" and "us" mean MonetrixOS. "You" means the person who buys or uses the add-on. By buying or using the add-on, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they include our no-refund policy.

The product

MonetrixOS for Google Sheets is a Google Sheets add-on that builds and runs a personal finance workbook inside a Google spreadsheet you own. It includes the workbook, a sidebar inside Google Sheets, and automation that runs in your spreadsheet. You need a Google account and access to Google Sheets to use it.

Your licence

When you buy the add-on, you receive a licence key. Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the add-on as follows:

One licence activates one workbook. Entering your licence key in the add-on activates it for that spreadsheet.
That workbook can be shared by up to 5 people, for example the members of your household, who use it together.
A copy of an activated workbook is a new workbook and asks for activation again.
You may not sell, share, publish or transfer your licence key to anyone outside the people using your workbook.

The add-on is licensed, not sold. We (or our licensors) keep all rights in the add-on, its code, design, templates and documentation, except for the licence granted above. Your data is yours.

Price and updates

The add-on costs $9.99 (USD), paid once. There is no subscription.
Everything is included: every feature of the add-on, with no paid add-ons or feature limits.
Lifetime updates: future updates of the add-on are included at no extra cost, for as long as MonetrixOS exists and offers its Google Sheets add-on.

Updates may change, improve or remove features. The add-on updates your workbook's structure while keeping the data you entered.

No refunds

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds. Before you buy, please read the documentation and the product page so you know exactly what you are getting. If something doesn't work, contact support@monetrixos.com and we will help.

This does not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.

Payment, taxes and Whop

Purchases are made through Whop, which is the merchant of record. Whop processes your payment, issues your receipt or invoice, and calculates and collects any applicable taxes. Taxes may apply at checkout, depending on where you live. Whop's own terms apply to the purchase itself.

If a payment is refunded, disputed or charged back through Whop or your bank, the licence linked to that payment is deactivated (see "Termination").

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

share, resell or publish your licence key, or use it to activate more workbooks than your licence allows;
bypass, disable or interfere with the licence check or any other protection in the add-on;
copy, modify, redistribute or resell the add-on, its code or its templates, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
use the add-on or this website for anything unlawful, or to harm others;
overload, probe or attack our licence server or this website.

Not financial advice

The add-on is a tool for recording and organising your own financial information. Its calculations, categories, budgets, goals and debt payoff plans are based entirely on what you enter and on the settings you choose. Nothing in the add-on, the documentation or this website is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions and for checking your figures. If you need advice, talk to a qualified professional.

Availability and the licence server

The add-on runs on Google Sheets and Google Apps Script. We don't control Google's services and can't guarantee that they, the add-on or this website will always be available or free of errors.

The add-on checks your licence with our licence server when you activate it, and then about once every 30 days. If the licence server can't be reached, the add-on keeps working in a grace period and checks again later. If the licence server confirms that a licence is no longer valid (for example after a refund, dispute or revocation), the add-on asks for a valid licence before it can be used again.

Your data and backups

Everything you enter stays in your own Google spreadsheet, under your Google account. You are responsible for your spreadsheet, for who you share it with, and for keeping backups (for example using Google Sheets' version history or by making a copy).

Limitation of liability

The add-on and this website are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows:

we give no warranties beyond those stated in these terms, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement;
we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or savings;
our total liability to you for any claim relating to the add-on is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Termination

You can stop using the add-on at any time.

Your licence ends automatically, and the add-on stops accepting it, if:

the payment for it is refunded, disputed or charged back; or
we revoke it because you seriously or repeatedly broke these terms (for example by sharing or reselling your licence key).

When a licence ends, the data you entered stays in your spreadsheet and remains yours.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the product or the law changes. The date and version at the top of this page show the current version. Changes do not take away the licence you already bought or its one-time, lifetime-updates nature.

Your rights as a consumer

Nothing in these terms takes away the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to solve it together.
